Administrative Team

The primary responsibility of the administrative team is instructional leadership. The administrative team is responsible to the superintendent and the Board of Education for the delivery of educational services to the students. The administrative team is one element of the support staff that insures that teachers are able to teach and students are able to learn. The administrative team is the official liaison to the Central Office staff. It is incumbent upon the Administrative Team to insure that federal and state laws and regulations, and local Board of Education policies are followed.

Albert Aragon

Albert Aragon - Principal

Mr. Albert Aragon is the Principal of Valencia High School. Mr. Aragon has been in education since 1998. He has taught Physical Education, Health, and Gifted at the Secondary Level. Mr. Aragon has been in Administration since 2014. Mr. Aragon received his Bachelor of Arts in Education from Eastern New Mexico University and his Masters of Education from Grand Canyon University

Chelsey Servantes

Chelsey Servantes - Assistant Principal

Mrs. Chelsey Servantes has been in education since 2011, specializing in Next Generation Science Standards and STEM education. She has taught various science classes in the high school setting and was a district academic coach, working with teachers at all levels K-12. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a Life Science Concentration and Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, both from UNM. Mrs. Servantes is an advocate for high quality STEM education within the state of New Mexico and has worked with districts across the state toward that goal.

Jennifer Otero

Jennifer Otero - Assistant Principal

Mrs. Jennifer Otero has been in public education with Los Lunas Schools for 24 years. She has taught various grades at the elementary level, as well as worked in Health Care management for six years. Her degrees include a Bachelor’s of Arts in Elementary and Special Education from New Mexico Highlands, a Masters in Elementary Reading Education from University of New Mexico, and a Certificate in Educational Administration from Eastern New Mexico University. A life long resident of El Cerro Loop, Mrs. Otero has been married to her husband Joe for 32 years, and has three daughters, all of them graduates of Valencia High School.
